Stunning labels and stamped cork! They stamped the cork to prevent counterfeiting of their beer. Those labels were original to that bottle. These would have been used together (including a neck label) to celebrate the awards Anheuser Busch had received at Philadelphia in 1876, Paris 1878, and Atlanta in 1881.
Up for auction a very nice pre-pro, c1890, very rare aqua colored blob top bottle complete with lightning stopper, bail wire, and tie, from BUDWEISER BREWING CO, BROOKLYN. NY. Bottle stands 9 1/4" tall, and is boldly embossed, and damage free. The brewery was known as BUDWEISER from 1884 till 1898. At that time the brewery was forced to change their name, and chose the NASSAU BREWING CO. This was due to Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis who had held a patent on the Budweiser name brand since 1878. Vintage C. Conrad and Company Original Budweiser Beer Bottle ca. 1878 - 1880. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. Purchased a bottle lot and this was the only good one in the whole batch. Great condition. Only flaw is what looks like an air bubble that formed too close to the outer bottle surface. Is not cracked or through the bottle.

Vintage 1878-1917 era Budweiser Lager Paper Label 12 Oz Pre-Prohibition Beer Bottle. This is truly a beautiful light aqua specimen with air bubbles throughout the bottle. The bottle mark on the bottom indicates it was manufactured by the Adolphus Busch Glass manufacturing company (1886-1926). There is a light haze in different spots on the inside and one very small flea bite just above the top left portion of the label (last picture). The label is very strong with a minor corner tear at the top left and a scratch on the right side middle of the label. This was an estate sale find and one of th
