Neat and very old antique Malt Nutrine wood crate. Sold by Anheuser Busch in St Louis Missouri beginning in approx 1895. Notice the partial paper labels on the ends! I'm not sure if the holes and bolts were added for a handle or were original.
All steins are in good if not mint condition. The artwork and graphics on these steins is just amazing. There is also great history to these, as Malt Nutrine was produced by Anheuser Busch from 1895 to 1942.
Ultra rare Anheuser Busch Malt Nutrine miniature bottle that unscrews and becomes a cork remover. The bottle measures about 2-3/4" long and I believe it is nickle with a brass cap and brass name plate. Malt Nutrine was introduced in 1895 as a 2% alcohol drink. The bottle is stamped Williamson Co. Newark, NJ PAT APLD FOR on the bottom of the bottle. Estimate age in early 1900's. Freight represents an allowance for insurance and shipping to the continental 48 US states only - other US locations billed at actual. This tin lithograph, "A Hurry Call", was most likely made in the very early 1900's. Malt Nutrine was sold as a healthy low alcohol drink for nursing mothers. For this reason, Malt Nutrine was distributed by many doctors.
Very nice Malt Nutrine stein. This was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. First introduced in 1895 until 1942, it was advertised as a liquid food tonic. These were 1st created in 1903. The front plaque represents "Autumn Riches".
This 11 1/2" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. The 2nd in the Evolution of the A&Eagle series of steins. The 1890 A&Eagle is shown on one side and the 1895-1898 A&Eagle is shown on the other.
