There are some small spots where the paint has rubbed off on the top right corner, and a small protruding dent on the bottom. Rare Antique 1903 Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Meyercord Ganymede Wooden Advertising Sign I am so pleased to present to all of you this extremely scarce 1903 Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Wooden sign. Meyercord of Chicago printed the litho depicting the Greek mythological character Ganymede being taken by a bald eagle, based on a drawing by F. Kirschbach in 1892.Sign is made of a 3/8 inch thick piece of wood and measures 30 inches by 20 inches.All photos taken outside in natural light.Condition is very good plus in my opinion given that it is 121 years old. Colors are bright. Lettering is excellent.There are areas that shows signs of wear, damage to right bottom corner, some minor white paint specks, back wood is peeling on left side and bottom.PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOGRAPHS CAREFULLY.These signs do not come up for sale often at all. eBay Original 1903 photograph of a motorized Budweiser beer truck in front of the Anheuser-Busch brewery in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an original 1903 mounted photograph, not a reproduction. The full mounting board measures 13-3/8 x 11 inches. The mounted photograph measures 9 x 7 inches.The truck appears to be a 1903 "Electric Brewers' Truck" manufactured by the Vehicle Equipment Co. in New York City. See xeroxed advertisement from the 1903 Western Brewer magazine in which the truck shown in the ad matches the form of the Budweiser truck in the photo. The ad also states that Anheuser-Busch operated 2 of these vehicles. I will include a xerox copy of the advertisement with shipment.This pic represents the very earliest period of the transition from horse-drawn beer wagons to motorized beer trucks. The ad states that the electric truck "does twice the work of horse trucks."The photograph was made by "Emil Boehl, Phot. of Specialties, 409 N. Broadway, St. Louis, Mo." Almost certainly, this photographer was hired by Anheuser-Busch to make the photograph Condition: Overall displayability is very good. There are pinholes at the corners and in four other spots. There is one larger hole at the top center. The corners and edges of the mounting board are rounded and lightly worn. The photograph itself is very clean, with only a very small chip at upper right corner, and an even smaller one at lower right corner.
