The 1st in the "Archive" series of steins. Made in Brazil by Ceramarte, this stein borrows from a painting in the Anheuser-Busch Archives. The attractive illustration, depicting the U.S. toasting Christopher Columbus on the 400th anniversary of his historic voyage, was part of Anheuser Busch s exhibit at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The detailed lid is pewter with a ceramic inlay. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity CS190 - 1993 " Ganymede " lidded stein. The 2nd in the Archive series of steins. This 6 1/2" stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Stein depicts a popular turn of the century advertising sign in which Ganymede is being carried aloft to Mt. Olympus, to serve Zeus.
