Here's a set of 6 Clydesdale horses, along with a Budweiser wagon, that was made by Metlox Pottery of California. Metlox produced several different horse figurines as part of the "Poppytrail" line.This set was produced in very limited quantities decades ago (I believe in the 1970s) under a contract from Anheuser-Busch Brewing Co in St. Louis MO. The horses were a bit larger than the regular Poppytrail horses. They were not available to the general public. It was made in small runs exclusively for the top management of Anheuser-Busch and exclusively for its use as an advertising display piece and as gifts for valued employees and customers.The horses each measure 9" tall by 9" long. The wagon measures 12.5" x 7.5" x 8" tall. I've inspected each piece closely. I found one tiny nick on a rear horse hoof as shown in a photo. Otherwise there are no chips, nicks, or repairs. None of the pieces retain the original Metlox foil label. Please feel free to email with any questions prior to bidding or buying.
