A 40's era Budweiser Draught sign. This is a bar back sign which are wildly popular among collectors.
It has a metal gold colored base with the ANHEUSER BUSCH ST. LOUIS, MO. logo on the front. It has kick out legs to stabilize it.
Two light bulbs in the base shine a subtle light up onto the reverse painted glass top that slides into the base and can be removed for shipment and cleaning.
The base shows some normal tarnish from age.

eBay rare, vintage Budweiser beer advertising heat lamp/light. Please see my second image, which is a video of how it looks when operating - very cool, kind of like an old Vegas marquee with light bulbs flashing on and off. The lamp measures about 13" tall and is about 6 1/2" in diameter at the base. The lamp consists of a black plastic and metal base that supports the electrical cord, socket and bulb. It also has a pin at the top to hold the inner cylinder that rotates when the bulb heats up. The inner cylinder has black and white geometric designs that create the flashing effect as it rotates. It also has blue, red & white bands on the bottom that alternatively light up the "King Of Beers" slogan in those colors as it rotates. The inner cylinder has a metal propeller at the top that allows the heat from the light bulb to flow through, causing the cylinder to rotate. The outer cylinder has the Budweiser advertising graphics on two sides. There are little clear dots in 2 sizes outlining the graphics that allow the light from the bulb to pass through on and off as the inner cylinder rotates. I could find no date or makers name on the lamp anywhere. However, the in-line switch in the electrical cord was made by Gilbert of New York City and has a patent number of 2723327, which was originally issued in 1956. The base of the lamp also looks like the bottom of a 1950s-60s rocket ship, so my guess would be that this dates somewhere from the late 1950s to maybe early 1970s. If anyone out there knows for sure, I'd love to hear from you.Please note that the inner cylinder must be centered on the pin and the base must be on a level surface for this to operate properly.Very good condition and works as it should - see second picture (video). There are a few minor blemishes on the cylinder with the Budweiser graphics (very minor) and some loss of black paint on the fins at the top of the inner cylinder. The black plastic base had a crack in it which looks like it was repaired with glue a long time ago and is quite stable. The plastic handle on the plug has a chunk of the rubber sliced off of it, but the plug is still working fine. The graphics on one side of the lamp have a little fading to the red color on the left edge of the logo, like it may have been facing a window MULTIPLE PURCHASES: I will gladly combine items for a savings on shipping! Neat old pair of Falstaff sconce lamps. Each measures approx 10" tall x 5" wide x 6" deep. Manufactured in the 1960s era of metal with glass shades and plastic top cap. Illuminated by a single candelabra base bulb. I install a pair of new led 3 mode lamps. When plugged in they mimic a burning flame, unplug and plug back in and they fade in and out, and unplug and plug in again and they are constant on. The bulbs are new and were only used a short time for testing, so I cannot guarantee how long they will last. The items display nicely but naturally show areas of wear and tear and patina. The one lion's head on the top is missing, as is common with this type of sign, as it is simply very thin plastic. The fixture on the left's plastic gold colored Falstaff shield surround was loose and was reattached with JB weld. The black plastic top caps simply sit on the glass and will be packaged separately. You could adhere them to the glass should you desire. I included 2 pieces of vintage jack chain to mount as shown. The cords are quite short, so you will need an extension cord to reach an outlet. Not many around especially in this working condition. Superb addition to your bar, mancave, or other decor! Ready to hang. Measures approximately 32" tall x 11" wide. "Guitar" is only about 3/8" thick. Just a few minor scuffs consistent with storage. Second hand was bent, but straightened imperfectly. It will be removed and put into a zip bag for safer shipping.
