A 40's era Budweiser Draught sign. This is a bar back sign which are wildly popular among collectors.
It has a metal gold colored base with the ANHEUSER BUSCH ST. LOUIS, MO. logo on the front. It has kick out legs to stabilize it.
Two light bulbs in the base shine a subtle light up onto the reverse painted glass top that slides into the base and can be removed for shipment and cleaning.
The base shows some normal tarnish from age.

Rare 1950’s Budweiser Beer lighted wall sign. Reverse painted glass featuring a deer hunting scene and the Budweiser logo. Made by Raymond M. Price & Associates. Measures approx 19 1/2” x 14”. Excellent condition overall. I didn’t see any marks or scratches in the reverse painted glass. The gold around the logo frame is also in above average condition with only a few areas of discoloration to the gold. The plastic frame has a few marks and scratches here and there. Mostly to the sides. There is one area on the front edge of the frame on the right side a little more than half way down. I am not sure if it a crack or a deep scratch. Didn’t want to mess around with it too much to try to investigate. The only real damage to the plastic frame on the bottom, back corner on the left side. It is a small chip out of the plastic about 1/4”. It is only noticeable when looking at the bottom. One other note on the plastic frame is that there is little, if any, deterioration of the plastic. Most of these types I have seen the plastic has turned chalky and become very brittle. Not seeing that with this one. The plastic still has a sheen to it and does not seem fragile at all. Original hanging chain is still intact and fine. The back metal of the case is also above average. It has the expected minor scratch here and there, but there are not a lot of scratches, nothing major, and is not beat up at all. Interior of light is in excellent condition also. No damage and surprisingly clean. The original electric components and cord are present and in good working condition Overall seems to be in exceptional condition for its age and intended use. It is not in dead mint condition, but it is in above average condition. Please examine pictures closely and use zoom ability to evaluate condition and defects. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Up for bid is a 1940's Michelob draught beer sign made by the brewers of Budweiser. It is a beautiful rare reverse painted glass sign in a brass base. This came out of New York City from a bar that was closed in the 1950's. My friend was able to go into the bar for an estate sale when it opened up to the state, and pulled out a couple of really cool signs. This is one of the one's he was willing to part with. Measures approx 19 1/2" wide x 12" high x 3 1/2" deep. Constructed of a faux wood grain painted metal cabinet with a translucent fishing camp image between two pieces of glass. Illuminated by a single fluorescent tube with starter and transformer and works well. It take a few seconds to ignite when first plugged in, which is normal for the older fluorescent fixtures. The item displays very nicely and would be a great addition to any collection but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina from years of being in a bar. The translucent image has some fading and staining etc. There are areas of rust, stains, and paint and finish loss etc to the metal areas. I took close up pics for your review. All told a very hard to find and super cool sign that would look great displayed in your fishing cabin, lake house, etc. Will be well packaged and insured for safe delivery. Local pickup is welcomed.
