Original Listing Description

This is a custom job for eBay user ProModBob.There is NO ALCOHOL in any of these bottles! They are empty!Up for sale! Reproduction of a "family portrait" of five Budweiser bottles spanning the ages. These bottles are made as faithfully as possible to the original picture. Some bottles were dug personally, while others had to be sourced before custom labels could be made and applied. Please see individual descriptions below.Bottle #1 (1870's) - Bottle sourced from eBay, inside tumbled by myself, then professionally tumbled by a friend. At first glance the bottom embossing appears to be Carl Conrad & Co. (CC&Co) branding, but upon further research, appears to be the monogram of Ottawa Glass Co. Bottle is amber and a little taller and wider than the rest of the family. Its closure appeared to have an Anheuser Busch lead seal with bailing or hobby wire inset in the lead, braided/twisted, and wrapped from the underside of the neck lip over the top on four sides. Even though I have metal detected one of these actual lead seals, it was not used for this reproduction, as it would be a waste to not be seen underneath the outer foil covering. Instead a cork was used sticking up from the closure opening the approximate same distance as the seal would have protruded. Two layers of foil were wrapped around and double-sided taped to the neck of the bottle, and smoothed with the side of a sharpie. Neck and body labels were sourced from the internet and adjusted for lighting, shadows, size, artifact and imperfections, all by "hand" with no AI involved.Bottle #2 (1930's) - Bottle dug from local bottle dump, inside tumbled and outside cleaned. Modern crown cap applied with crown applicator and a period appropriate crown label photoshopped onto clear sticker paper and applied over blank gold cap. Neck and body labels sourced from the internet and edited to match period and transitional yellowing seen in the series.Bottle #3 (1950's) - Bottle dug from local bottle dump, inside tumbled and outside cleaned. Period official Budweiser cap sourced from eBay and applied with crown applicator. Neck and body labels sourced from internet and edited to match period and transitional yellowing.Bottle #4 (1960's) - Bottle dug from local bottle dump, inside tumbled and outside cleaned. Period official Budweiser cap sourced from eBay and applied with crown applicator. Neck and body labels sourced from internet and edited to match period and transitional yellowing.Bottle #5 (2000's) - Bottle sourced from Millenial pack, old labels soaked to remove and new labels created/sourced from the internet. Cap sourced from eBay in the form of a light-up pin (made from an actual cap appears), guts removed and applied with crown applicator. All bottles come with a desiccant packet sealed inside to remove moisture to prevent clouding of the inside of bottle. All bottles come with a neck tag indicating bottle era. Some of the bottles could be more accurately dated to a smaller date range but upon request of the client, range was left in decade format.This was a labor of love and a breath of fresh air for a client to approach me for a commission noticing my attention to detail and quality of work. He has shown me where these bottles will call home and it's always great to see a bottle that had lived its life, was buried and brought back to life after sometimes a hundred years or more to shine again in a new life!Both "Family Portraits" in photos are not actually included in sale, and are examples of both the source material to replicate, and my finished product superimposed into same photo.
