Up for your consideration is a vintage original 1944 Anheuser Busch wooden box or crate. This is not a reproduction, this is the original crate from 1944. It has the Budweiser logo along with the date 1944 stamped on it. It still has the original alcohol tax stickers on it too, see pictures. It has two cloth strips for hinges on the lid. Also this crate is quite a bit heavier than the reproductions. Quite the rare find. Approximate Measurements The box measures 18" x 11 1/2" x 10" wide. 7.5 pounds Markings Anheuser Busch, Property, St Louis Mo, 1944, (plus much more) Condition The box is in fair to good condition. A rare find Anheuser Busch 1920s prohibition era wooden beer crateOriginal, over 100 years old!! The crate is an great condition overall for its age. The-lock on top works perfectly hinges are in good shape and overall the wood does show wear but still solid. Most of the graphics and lettering are very visible with some fading as shown. 1918 - Anheuser-Busch BUDWEISER Beer Wooden Crate Perfect for that man cave! Or to a collector of fine turn of the century Anheuser items. This will look great anywhere you want to display it! Overall, in good condition despite being 102 years old! This sturdy little box still has all the dividers inside, none broken! The latch still works on the lid and the original paint is still clearly visible on all sides. I tried to take good pictures of this heirloom, but if you need more, just reach out and I'll be happy to do so.

In overall used condition with wear from use and age including fading of the decals, cracks in some of the wood, and wear around the edges of the crate. The metal closing latch does work but a little loose from the nails coming up just a bit. Overall measures 20" long, 13.25" wide, and 12" tall. This case I owned for 30 years and never realized until about 5 years ago it was a Bevo Probition case as my son had spiled water on the top and wiped it off and a couple of letter showed up so I took some soapy water and washed in the middle area and bevo the fox showed up very clealy, And also say's All GROWNS MUST BEAR THIS FOX and it's the fox with looks to holding a cup with bevo on it, Super Cool. This item is used but it is in very good condition, the metal strap has part that is popped up from the wood and it does have minor marks from being around for so long.
