Eberhard Anheuser - E. Anheuser & Co Brewing Co Embossed Amber Large Blob Top Bottle - St. Louis MO. Pre prohibition 1870s 1880s. Extremely rare hard to find E. Anheuser & Co bottle. Dates to prior Anheuser Busch. Very clean example with no cracks or chips. Nice clear glass. Has one manufacturer mark in neck of bottle which we showed a close up on the last picture. Neat old Busch Bavarian motion sign with clock. Measures approx 12" wide x 9" high x 6" deep. Constructed of hard plastic with translucent sign inserts, displaying a pinup girl with glass, a marlin fishing boat, baseball, beer bottle and beer glass. It appears that the one team is the St. Louis Cardinals, and I'm not sure about the other team, but my old eyes aren't the best! Illuminated by a single fluorescent tube and works well. It takes a few seconds to ignite when first turned on, which is normal for the older fluorescent fixtures. There is a small rotary type switch on the side to turn the motion and light on or off, while allowing the clock to run continuously, so the bartender would not have to set the time each day. The switch is a little finicky, but I found that it works well rotating it slowly. There is a knob on the top of the globe to set the time. It is somewhat stiff, so you may want to wait to plug the clock in until the time corresponds with the clock. Will just save you some time and effort. The clock comes right on and I tested it for 24 hours and it appears to keep good time, but I cannot guarantee Rolex accuracy. The motor that makes the globes rotate takes a few minutes to warm up before operating but does run nice and smooth and quiet. The cord is only approx. 24" long, so you would likely need an extension cord to reach an outlet. The item is in very good condition, retaining nice bright colors and shine, showing only minor wear and patina. There is 1 small area on the faux woodgrain base that looks like white caulk, which you may be able to remove. I did not want to attempt, as it is quite small and hard to notice except upon close inspection. I would think that you would have to look long and hard to find a better example! It may be from the 1950's or even earlier possibly. I believe it is called a bar back sign and it has the RAYMOND M. PRICE label on the back as well as a metal tag attached to the back saying ANHEUSER BUSCH INC. BB BUD and the number 7478 on it. I believe it is made of glass and metal etc. Much of the lettering has fallen off inside the sign for the words IN BOTTLES and it measures about 20" across the bottom of the metal base and it is 10 3/4" tall. It has all 4 of the rubber pads on the bottom as well. It does not light up and it was not made to light up. It is interesting, well made and delicate at the same time and I doubt many of these survived. It is being SOLD AS IS AS FOUND WITH WEAR AND LETTERING DAMAGE MENTIONED FOR DISPLAY AND RESTORATION PURPOSES ONLY THAT IS IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO RESTORE IT, THAT I DO NOT KNOW FOR CERTAIN. Super hard to find Falstaff Sign. Assembled measurements are approx. 21" tall x 12" wide. Constructed of hard plastic. This is a two piece sign that would have originally been mounted with sticky pads on the back of both pieces. You will need to purchase new sticky pads or devise another way to mount them. The item displays nicely but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina from age and use. The top of the bottle had a slot where the pouring beer slid into, which has cracked away. The bottle has some deformation and label wear etc. and some old sticker residue. Besides that, just the normal scratches, scrapes, scuffs, stains, etc. I took close up pics for your review. Here is a 1930's era tin over cardboard wall sign for Budweiser lager beer. It features a bottle of Bud and a glass of beer on a glass table top. The sign measures 12" wide by 15" tall. there are some light surface scratches otherwise in great displayable condition. US buyer to pay $12.00 for postage.
